"The Tassels Of His Word" - 02/17/17 Numbers 14-15

"God spoke to Moses: "Speak to the People of Israel. Tell them that from now on they are to make tassels on the corners of their garments and to mark each corner tassel with a blue thread.
When you look at these tassels you'll remember and keep all the commandments of God,
and not get distracted by everything you feel or see that seduces you into infidelities.
The tassels will signal remembrance and observance of all my commandments, to live a holy life to God.
I am your God
who rescued you from the land of Egypt
to be your personal God.
Yes, I am God,
your God."(15:37-41)

What are your tassels?

There were a number of years in my life, so often, my tassels were "me".
I was totally focused on - "me".
I lived for "me".
I was seduced by the world.
Even after having Adam and Nichalas, I was guilty of putting them before our ABBA.

They often represented my worth,  not whose I was in Him.

Throughout those years I lived in the land of quicksand and mirages. Always exhausted - trying to survive "my way" and it was slowly killing me. Within myself was anger, bitterness, darkness.  And such a feeling of emptiness that even our sons could not fill.

What a burden I was placing on them and everyone else I was trying to draw my worth from.

Until one day, He opened my heart and eyes.  He helped me to make tassels and then He hung them within my heart.

Tassels of His Word.
Since then I dig into it. I chew on it. I carry it within my heart.

My heart is continually being totally transformed by Him through His Word.

Have you the tassels of His Word?
His Words of hope, promises, security, love, peace, joy.
The roadmap to our promised land.

My "40 years of wandering in the wilderness" have been done for 32 years now. Are you still "wandering in the wilderness"?  Trying to fill the God void within you, trying to get your worth through the ways of this world?  He is our "own personal God". Our ABBA. Desiring only to be with YOU.

Our tassels remind us we need to be marching towards our Home - Following Him. To be with Him - Forever.
His Word is our tassels.
Are they hanging on your heart?
