"Doubting again" - ‎03/13/13 - Deuteronomy 3:21-5:33

"Don’t be afraid of them. God, your God—He’s fighting for you.” (3:22)

Our church is having a night of Refresh for women.  It includes dinner, workshops, main speaker, and singing.  I have been asked to lead one of the workshops and am so very excited!

How to make His story yours -

                putting your story into His

Every single one of us has a story.  And someone, somewhere, wants to hear it.

Promise.

It may even be that they NEED to hear Your story.

That's how God works.

He takes our stumbling blocks and transforms them into His stepping stones.

Either for ourselves, or someone else.  Regardless of who - it is someone who is on a journey.

The journey we call life.  It entails many twists and turns, in which we are unable to see around the bend.  Our stories  - our stories -  they continue His Word.  Look at all the persons in His Word that have helped you on your journey.  He has promised us, "there is nothing new under the sun".

Promised us that.

Which means that someone has   already   experienced in life, what one is about to.

That is where this business of His blood family comes in.  We are here to help each other.  To help because of love.

L.O.V.E.

We are to love as He does.

If you see a blind person about to step off the curb in front of a truck, you don't stand there, silently watching.  Then why when it comes to sharing our story, to help someone who is walking blind, we stay silent?  Standing there with our mouths closed, chewing on the word - doubt.  Doubt that what we have to offer isn't "good enough".  That we won't sound or write in a polished manner.  Someone may make fun of or even attack.  Our relationship with God isn't "mature" enough, strong enough, or God wouldn't be able to use anything I have to offer.

Everything is used for His glory.

Every single thing.  Incident.  Mistake.  Regret.  Joy.  Accomplishment.

Every single thing.

Get excited about the Divine Appointment He has set up for you.  The place and person you will encounter because of Him.

The person who needs to hear your story.

Remember - He is there fighting for you.  Fighting for you to overcome the temptation of doubt.  He has an escape route for you.

Don't let the fear of sharing sneak in because you have picked up doubt.
